Praise for Geronimo Stilton books:
"Lightning pace and full-color design will hook kids in a flash." -- PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
A magical world is in danger! The Thea Sisters are on their way. . . .
When Agent Nina, a member of the Seven Roses Unit in the Institute of Incredible Stories, disappears on a mission to Ireland, Thea Stilton is assigned the task of finding her. The Thea Sisters join the search with the help of Will Mystery, the unit's leader. He is highly trained in the languages and customs of the fantasy lands—parallel worlds that exist in the folklore of nations across the globe. In this story, the Land of Erin is in danger of being lost forever and Thea Stilton must find out why. The adventurous mice encounter several creatures known from Irish legend, including goblins, pixies, banshees, fairies, and leprechauns. Full-color, full-page illustrations and smaller cartoons dropped into the text will appeal to younger readers. Multiple words per page are designed in different colors and typefaces. Examples include the word look, which is drawn with eyeballs on it, and sparkling, which has tiny stars around it. The "Thea Stilton" books are part of the popular "Geronimo Stilton" series that has been published in Italy since 2000. The franchise has over 100 titles, including special editions and graphic novels. Each book is written as an autobiographical recounting of adventures that take place around the world, often involving mysteries. The high level of kid-appeal overcomes the story's technical problems, such as point-of-view issues, characters and clues left hanging, and a cast that seems larger than it needs to be for the story told.
